PROJECT INTRODUCTION
This is the third-generation shopping mall store upgrade solution created by Liu Ke Design Studio for VORO Artisanal Italian Gelato. With the extreme contrast of “future technology × Italian tradition”, we have injected unprecedented trendy vitality into this 10-year-old classic brand. When century-old Italian gelato meets a futuristic laboratory, we use cyber aesthetics to reshape a new benchmark for chain businesses. “Gelato is not ice cream; it is a way of life.” This time, we chose a direction that surprised everyone. In a disruptive breakthrough, we have reconstructed the gelato experience with a “cyber laboratory”. What is the visual paradigm of a traditional gelato shop? Log materials, white walls, handwritten blackboards and flower baskets. However, at VORO MOMOPARK, we have completely broken and restructured all of these. “The future of gelato should be a precisely operating laboratory of deliciousness” — this was our design anchor established from the very first day.

VORO officially entered the Chinese market in 2018 as one of the earliest chain brands dedicated to authentic Italian Gelato. Over the past eight years, VORO has remained committed to traditional Italian recipes, using imported Italian ingredients and fresh fruits, with no artificial additives, flavors, or colorings. Every product is handmade fresh daily. This devotion to genuine flavors has earned the brand a loyal and deep-rooted reputation in Xi’an, empowering its positioning: “To blend the generous gifts of nature into the pure authenticity of Italian Gelato.”

Core visual symbol: the robotic arm fixture. At the heart of the store, a silver robotic arm serves as the display carrier for gelato. It functions as both a practical display stand and the most recognizable photo spot. The juxtaposition of the robotic arm’s articulated structure with the creamy texture of Gelato is itself a visual statement of rationality and sensibility.
From a single store to a replicable aesthetic asset.
The ultimate futuristic touch: a robotic assistant. We introduced an intelligent service robot for VORO to handle repetitive tasks such as order guidance and topping delivery. The sight of the robot gliding along the track to serve orders has become the store’s most socially shareable highlight, capturing the attention of every customer passing by B1 level of MOMOPARK.
At its core, this solution is a modular aesthetic system. The robotic arm is a custom non-standard device, while the neon light strip system, metal finishes, and robotic terminals are standardized modules. For VORO’s new stores across the country in the future, layouts can be flexibly configured according to site conditions, controlling per-store investment while maintaining a high degree of consistency in brand aesthetics. For chain brands considering overall brand upgrading, this offers exceptionally strong replicable value.
For a brand that has been in China for eight years, the greatest hidden concern is being labeled as “a previous-generation brand” by the new generation of consumers. As VORO’s “future concept store”, the MOMOPARK store does more than just sell gelato. It is essentially a strategic declaration of brand rejuvenation: VORO remains committed to Italian traditions, yet it has the courage and ability to tell its own story in the language of this era.

PROJECT INTRODUCTION
With the core theme of Cyber Future + Italian Gelato, this project creates an immersive intelligent consumption experience that integrates brand display, product tasting, and tech-driven interaction. Centered around purple-blue gradient lighting from LED neon strips, the space outlines installations and brand logos, whose reflections on metallic surfaces amplify a futuristic cyber atmosphere. Complemented by the starry blue backlight of promotional screens and soft lighting at the product display area, the design accentuates product details while distinguishing itself from the mall’s general ambient lighting, forming an exclusive immersive space that allows customers to fully experience the brand’s unique character amid a busy shopping environment.

The Futuristic Mechanical Dessert Station designed exclusively for VORO serves as a natural eye-catcher and traffic driver in the shopping mall. By reinterpreting the Italian gelato experience through cyber-industrial aesthetics, it resolves the pain points of homogenization and weak customer attraction common in traditional dessert shops, achieving the commercial effect of “stop and snap at first sight, then purchase right after the shot.”
As customers enter the mall, the first thing that catches their eye is the robotic arm holding a giant gelato — like a futuristic pastry chef, its high-tech presence instantly sparks curiosity. On the other side, promotional screens showcase the craftsmanship of authentic Italian gelato. From drawing attention and engaging with the brand to arousing appetite through the realistic gelato displays at the counter, the entire customer journey is carefully designed as a natural transition from passing by to making a purchase.
The overall design centers on “Technology Reimagines the Sweet Experience”. It not only shapes a young and avant-garde brand image for VORO, but also injects a trendy new landmark into the shopping mall, achieving a win-win between brand identity and commercial value.
